We are excited to offer bladesmithing classes for students age 10-18.
***These classes can be paid for by using EFA funds if you are an approved family in the Arkansas EFA program (see how below). Please include only ONE student per order for ClassWallet invoicing purposes. If you have more than one student wanting to take classes, please submit one order per student.
Class Details:
- In-person forging instruction from J. M. Stevens with up to two students per class.
- Classes are typically scheduled in one day up to 8 hours long, but we work with individual customers to find a time frame that works with their schedule and travel needs.
- No prior forging experience needed for the Level 1 class. Level 1 is a prerequisite to the Level 2 class.
- Classes will be scheduled once payment is received through ClassWallet.
- Classes take place at our forge in Maumelle, AR.
- A digitally signed liability waiver is required before classes can begin.
- Be sure to follow Step 2 in Checkout instructions below. If you do not add your student's name in the Notes during checkout, it cannot be put on the invoice, and you run the risk of having your invoice rejected.
Next Steps: Once you have placed an order, we will send you an invoice to submit through ClassWallet to "J. M. Stevens Forge". We are considered Career and Technical Education, so you can choose "Instructional Services".
Approval by the EFA program typically takes some time depending on their request load. Once your order is approved, it still takes 3-5 business days to show up on our Vendor Report. Once we see everything settled on our vendor report, we will email you to get your student's classes scheduled. If you have not heard from us within two weeks of approval, please check junk/spam mail and then reach out to make sure we were notified of your class approval.
Our classes are scheduled as following (with exceptions for special situations):
- Wednesdays (starting at 8am): Level 1 Project
- Thursdays (starting at 8am): Level 2 Project

- Add your class of choice to your cart. Only one student per order. Please submit multiple orders if you have multiple students.
- In your cart, add your child's name and age in the Notes section. This is necessary for your invoice.
